5 Commonly Asked Questions About Chiropractic

Most know about chiropractic, and it is becoming more widely sought out for things like back injuries, neck pain, headaches and even stomach issues. However, many are left with questions about chiropractic and how it might help them.

Commonly Asked Questions

1. Is chiropractic safe?

The short answer is, YES! Chiropractic has been used for the last 123 years, and it’s been found that the risk of potential side effects is actually very small, and chiropractic is widely recognized as a more conservative treatment for common ailments.

2. How often do I need to be adjusted?

Chemical, physical and mental/emotional stress are all components that lead to subluxations (when your spine is out of alignment) which causes nerve interferences. We are exposed to stressors of all kinds daily…, home life, environmental toxins, even sugar can be a stressor on the system. So, with that said, ideally getting adjusted at least every 2 weeks would be best. However, if you’re not able to commit to every two weeks, make it a part of your wellness plan to get adjusted at least once a month.

3. Should my kids get adjusted and is it safe for children?

Yes, yes, yes! From the moment our children enter the world, they are exposed to many stressors. Think of how stressful both physically and emotionally the birth process is on our tiny humans! And then as they grow, they stumble and fall….often. Getting your children adjusted regularly will insure that their nervous system is functioning at it’s best potential so they continue to grow and develop the way they should. They’ll most likely be healthier too! Weld Family Clinic is a trusted Greeley chiropractor for kids.

4. If I get adjusted once, doesn’t that mean I just have to keep going back?

Much like brushing your teeth keeps your teeth healthy, regular adjustments keep your spine and nervous system functioning properly. Continued wellness care of your spine will give you optimal results, but even going for a short time will reap benefits.

5. Can chiropractic help with other areas of the body besides the spine?

Any part of the body where two or more bones meet could potentially be out of an alignment. Chiropractors can treat areas like the jaw, shoulder, elbow, wrist, knees and ankle/feet. If you are having issues with extremities or your jaw, let your chiropractor know!
