Help Us Compete to Beat Hunger!

This month, the team at Weld Family Clinic of Chiropractic is proud to take part in Weld Food Bank’s annual Compete to Beat Hunger competition. From June 8-26, we’ll be raising funds, accepting food donations, and volunteering our time in the hopes of putting an end to hunger in our community. And you can help us repeat as an overall winner!

What Is Compete to Beat Hunger?

Weld Food Bank’s Compete to Beat Hunger takes place every June. The goal is to challenge local businesses and their employees to a friendly competition with an important aim: donating funds, food, and volunteer hours to the cause of ending hunger.

This year, the Weld Family Clinic of Chiropractic staff will join other local businesses of all sizes in pitching in to help this noble cause. After the dust settles on June 26, the winners will be announced and will receive their trophies.

Last year, our team was named the overall winner in the Peewee Division, representing businesses with 10 or fewer employees. Even more importantly, businesses from across the county came together to donate more than 2,700 volunteer hours, 72,000 pounds of food, and $125K in funds. All told, this was enough to provide approximately 436,321 meals to our friends and neighbors in need.

The work that Weld Food Bank does for our community is vital. In 2025 alone, WFB distributed 14.5 million pounds of food, including 8.8 million pounds of fresh produce, dairy, and meat. Programs focus on everything from general food assistance to help children and seniors specifically.

Here’s How You Can Help

The winner of Compete to Beat Hunger 2026 will be determined based on each business’s monetary, food, and volunteer hour contributions. And we’ll be recruiting patients to help us repeat as the winner of our division. However you’re able to help out from June 8-26, we’d love to have your support. To help get you started, you can register at VolunteerHub, keep an eye on our team volunteer page for events, and track our progress on Mightycause.

We’re also holding a summer BBQ on Thursday, June 11, from 5-7 PM in our south parking lot. (Just look for the big tent.) We’ll be serving up healthy, hearty fare like marinated grilled chicken breast, fresh veggies, and fresh fruit. Food and fellowship are completely free, so stop by and join us if you’re able!
